New SNEC Web Site Debuts
Hey - Things look different here... Indeed they do! We are pleased to announce that on February 10th, 2007 SNEC launched a bold new web site that positions us to offer many exciting new developments to our membership.
If you are a SNEC member, be sure to login to gain access to all the tools and information on our site!
What you are seeing is the culmination of several months hard work by our dedicated webmaster (Michael Smith) and the Web Enhancement Committee (Chairs Kim Dornish and Linda Loftus; and members Joe Brenner, Rosemary Caluori, Jennifer Katus, Mario Petrella, David Roy, David Thommen, Tamra Tromblay and Joe Zirolli).
The new SNEC web site offers:
- A Members Only area that offers content exclusive to SNEC members, such as our Membership Information Center and the Job Assistance area
- An integrated events calendar, with several different views including a mini-calendar and the next five upcoming events listed on the front page
- A separate, organized area for documents of interest to the public and our membership
- The SNEC Conference area is now part of the main site
- Site wide search capability. Easily find the information you need!
- Mini-polls capability
- Expanded FAQS and Useful Links sections
And, we plan to offer these features soon as well:
- Ability to manage your SNEC contact information, e.g. specify what email address you want us to use and what information you want sent to you via email!
- Integration of our Community Forum boards directly into the main web site - no separate login needed!
- A photo gallery to display images captured at our events or of interest.
- eCommerce capabilities to offer members the ability to purchase SNEC branded merchandise.
