Anthony Falsetta, PMP

Background
Anthony
currently serves as SNEC VP of Continuing Education where he leads the
team responsible for providing educational and training offerings such
as the SNEC PMP Exam prep course. For 2010, Anthony and the team rolled
out a successful offering in Fairfield, CT and have scheduled courses
both in Springfield, MA and Hamden, CT.
Anthony
has over 10 years of successful project management working in the
Information Technology area and has been supporting financial systems
projects for United Rentals since 2000. At United Rentals, he has
managed software implementations, upgrades, customizations and
enhancements. Anthony is currently serving as project manager on a
large-scale financial software upgrade and migration project.
Anthony
holds the Project Management Professional designation and a Master of
Business Administration with a concentration in Finance.

As
a board member I would bring excellent leadership and project
management skills. I also have a dedication and a passion to provide
quality project management training to assist individuals with their

Fred Johnson, PMP
Candidate for Board of Directors
Background
Fred
has over 16 years of successful engineering management experience for
aerospace technology initiatives as a Project Manager with United
Technologies Corporation. Fred has worked as a Project Manager at
Sikorsky Aircraft, and he currently works at Pratt & Whitney where he leads team efforts within the Product Strategy organization.
Fred
has expertise in team building, project planning, problem resolution,
earned value management, and strategic technology solutions. Fred has
served as Director of Operations, and is currently the Corporate
Secretary of SNEC-PMI. Fred has also served as a volunteer for SNEC-PMI.
His volunteer activities include the annual SNEC-PMI PM Conference,
Project Manager for the SNEC elections, and he was also the Project
Manager for the SNEC-PMI Restructuring Committee that has allowed the
SNEC chapter to optimize its leadership structure.
Fred
holds the Project Management Professional designation, a Bachelor of
Science in Mechanical Engineering from Rutgers University, and a Master
of Science in Technology Management from the University of Bridgeport.
He is currently completing his Masters of Business Administration degree
at Northeastern University.
What Fred can offer to SNEC-PMI
Lessons
learned, and a desire to complete the process improvements that were
initiated two years ago. Ultimately, I am motivated to help SNEC-PMI
continue to be an asset to the community.

Gina Lumia, PMP
Candidate for Board of Directors
Background
Gina
has over 20 years of experience in Information technology and Project
and Program Management. She is currently consulting as Mass Mutual.
Before joining Mass Mutual, she was Senior Director –
Portfolio and Program Management at Travelers where her primary goals
were to define and implement project management best practices,
standards, and process. Her prior experience includes project and
program management at Hartford Life and The Hartford, as well as many
other companies as a consultant.
In
addition to her professional career, Gina is the Project Manager and
Event Coordinator for several non-profit organization events including
Gifts of Love – an organization that works with the homeless.
Gina
is passionate about program and project management and has been an
active member of the chapter since 2003 working with Programs,
Education, and Membership. She was instrumental in the development and
rollout of the SNEC PMI Mentoring program. She has been the Director of
Programs and Professional Development for the past four years. As
Director, she has successfully led her team of VPs and volunteers to
expand the portfolio to include full and half day Special Events such as
Dr. Jerry Brightman and Neil Whitten and PMP Exam Training courses
currently running four times per year in addition to the chapter and
satellite meetings in Springfield and Fairfield.
Gina received the Project Management Professional designation in 2003 and holds a degree in Information Systems.
What Gina can offer to SNEC-PMI
Gina brings to the table past experience in the chapter from working on various committees to being Director of Programs
and
Professional Development. She has contributed to the development and
growth of the chapter and looks forward to continuing to build a strong
and dynamic chapter with close ties to the business communities. Gina
possesses the ability to motivate and energize others, has keen
leadership skills, as well as excellent interpersonal, networking and
project management skills. She would be honored to continue to serve.

Mark R. Rasmussen, PMP
Candidate for Board of Directors
Background
Mark
has over 30 years of successful Global Program and Project Management
experience in both Business and Information Technology.
He
currently works for TEKsystems as a contractor at Prudential Annuities.
He has worked for Health Net ,CIGNA, Aetna, ACNielsen, Dun &
Bradstreet, NCR Comten and Bunker Ramo during his professional career.
He has built a Global IT Program Management Office (PMO) and has managed
large complex Programs.
Mark
has an A.S. in Data Processing from Waterbury State Technical College, a
B.S. Computer Science / Information Systems from Quinnipiac College,
and holds the Project Management Professional (PMP) designation, is a
member in good standing of PMI SNEC and is a member of the PMO SIG.
He
joined the SNEC Professional Development portfolio as the VP of
Continuing Education and led the Committee to set up the first PMP Exam
Preparation course. He is currently a Board member for the SNEC
Professional Development portfolio with primary responsibility for
Continuing Education and Mentoring and backup responsibility for the
Programs and Special Events areas. Mark has been involved in the PMI
SNEC Programs Committee where he was the project manager for several
meetings. He also launched the first PMO Local Interest Group (LIG) for
the Westchester Chapter of PMI.
Mark
has also been involved and held leadership positions in several
community activities such as Relay for Life, Special Olympics, etc,.

Lynn Van Sweden, MBA, PMP
Candidate for Board of Directors
Background
I
have over 17 years successful project and program management experience
for business and technology initiatives, including defining and
implementing best practices. I am currently involved in project
management at United Illuminating. My prior experience includes project
and program management at GE, Diageo, Coca-Cola, Northrop Grumman, and
Millennium Chemicals as well as for non-profit organizations in a
volunteer capacity. I have served as a SNEC-PMI Board member leading the
Marketing Portfolio for the past two years. This has been an awesome
opportunity in the current economy. In this role I have facilitated
speed-networking sessions, re-designed our sponsorship approach,
supported enhanced Career Day events as a response to member needs,
enhanced our branding presence and supported our Outreach efforts. I was
also involved with SNEC-PMI’s effort to reorganize the board structure
and by-laws update.
I
hold the Project Management Professional designation, and a Master of
Business Administration with a concentration in accounting and financial
analysis.
What Lynn can offer to SNEC-PMI
I
have a passion and energy for promoting project management skills and
tools, coupled with the desire for continual learning and expanding of
my own project management skills. I am dedicated to the promotion of the
benefits of project management as a discipline as well as SNEC PMI as a
resource to project managers and other interested parties in the
Greater Hartford area as well as throughout southern New England. I am a
team player that promotes staying focused on the goal at hand, while
building relationships and having some fun along the way.
