Conference Registration
How
do I log in to the SNEC Website to receive my member discount?
In order to receive your member discount, you must FIRST LOGIN to the SNEC web site PRIOR TO REGISTERING for events in order to obtain your membership discount. Your username on the SNEC web site is your PMI # and your password is your PMI registered email address - all lower case. When typing in your password it looks like it won't fit, but don't worry, it is wrapping and will accept all you type. Once you are logged in, you can click on the My Profile menu entry on the left side menu and update your email address and/or password info to be anything you desire.

What is the cost of attending?
Click on the register button in the menu to see conference pricing. Early Bird registration is effective December 1, 2008 through February 28, 2009. Open Registration is being accepted through midnight, April 27, 2009.
Are there discounts available?
Two registration discounts are offered for the 2009 program. The first is the "early bird" registration discount that is available to those who register by 2/28/09. The second discount is the "multi-day" package. There are no specific group discount rates offered for this program beyond what is listed.
Early Bird Registration has been extended!!! To ensure your spot at the conference, it is important to register early. Space is very limited and the room availability is also limited. If you register before February 28th, you are entitled to Early Bird registration rates and a free book!
Can I register over the phone?
Registrations are accepted online to expedite processing and ensure completeness of the form, please click the register button to begin. We will work with you to determine if alternative registration options are feasible.
There will be no onsite registration for either the workshop or conference programs. All registrations must be requested and paid for prior to the event.
Can I use a form of payment other than a credit card?
Credit cards and PayPal are the primary forms of payment for the conference. More information is available at the registration site. If you cannot pay via credit card or PayPal, please e-mail us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

What is your cancellation policy?
If an individual cancellation is needed, please contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . Note: There is a 10% cancellation fee that will be subtracted from your refund to cover administrative fees. No refunds will be given after 4/17/2009.
In the event that inclement weather is forecasted for the day of the event, a cancellation decision will be made by 5:00 am that day. If the event is cancelled, registered participants will be notified of the cancellation via an email broadcast. We will also endeavor to get meeting cancellation notices broadcast by local media. Notification of the re-scheduled event or refund will also be communicated via an email broadcast.

What do I need to bring with me to the conference?
Just yourself! If you are attending the Conference on May 1st, your name badge and registration packet will be distributed during the onsite check in process.

What is the schedule for the workshop and conference presentations?
This year's program has something for everyone. The preliminary schedule of speakers is available by reviewing the agenda on our website.
What are the hours for Thursday’s Workshop?
The workshop schedule will begin at 1:00 p.m. and end at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 30, 2009.
What are the hours for Friday's Conference?
The general conference schedule begins at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, May 1, 2009. Remember that there is a post-conference networking reception which will run until 7:00 p.m.

The SNEC-PMI Professional Development Conference 2009 will be held at the Connecticut Convention Center located in Hartford, Connecticut on April 30th and May 1, 2009.

Parking, hotel and other travel information
Is there parking available? What are the rates?
Ample parking is available at the Connecticut Convention Center. A map is available for your convenience. Also, parking is included with your paid registration for the day of event.
What hotels are in the closest proximity to the Convention Center?
The Hartford Marriott Downtown is located at 200 Columbus Boulevard, Hartford, CT 06103. It is located adjacent from the Connecticut Convention Center and is a convenient 20 minute drive from the Bradley International airport. We offer discounted room rates for the conference. Other hotels are nearby but do not have discounts.
What hotels are in the closest proximity to the Convention Center?
The Hartford Marriott Downtown is located at 200 Columbus Boulevard, Hartford, CT 06103. It is located adjacent from the Connecticut Convention Center and is a convenient 20 minute drive from the Bradley International airport. We offer discounted room rates for the conference. Other hotels are nearby but do not have discounts.
The closest commercial airport is Bradley International Airport (airport code BDL).
There is a reserved room block for conference attendees at the Hartford Marriott Downtown with a group rate. These rooms are limited, so we recommend making your reservations well in advance. You can make reservations by calling 860-373-9806. Please mention that you are attending the SNEC-PMI Conference (Group Name: Project Management Institute - Southern New England Chapter) to obtain the negotiated group rate of $159.00/night for a standard room.
Do I have to stay at the hotel?
While it is recommended due to the proximity to the conference, it is not a requirement to book a room at the Hartford Marriott Downtown.

While the block of rooms is available, attendees at this event can enjoy the negotiated standard room rate of $159.00 per night at the Hartford Marriott Downtown.

We are pleased to offer a "packed" PDU opportunity at an affordable cost for SNEC-PMI member PMPs and "guest" PMPs.
