Why Training Alone Won’t Make you Agile
“We don’t need coaching, we’ll just send our people off to training.” Those words have been uttered by numerous doomed Agile transformations. This session is an exploration of changes in personal behavior as people learn news skills and how it impacts the results of teams and an organization. The key challenge being that training alone will not foster a long term change, and that organizations need coaching and a strategic effort to implement a profound organizational change. A focus on training but not coaching leads to marginal improvements at best and outright rejection of the desired changes at worst. Attendees will explore the different types of Agile coaching, how they can be used, and how they fit into a larger change initiative.
