Norm Prevost, PMP
President / CEO
Norm has over 20 years of successful project management experience for business and technology initiatives. Norm has been with The United Illuminating Company since 1998 and is currently Manager of Project Management Process and Standards for UI’s Center of Project Excellence. His prior experience includes project management and IT architecture at Bristol Myers Squibb and Cowles Business Media. Norm teaches PM courses internally at UIL including Core Skills for Project Managers, Project Chartering and Change Management, Risk Management, Presentation Skills and Earned Value. Norm is a graduate of PMI’s Leadership Institute’s Master Class of 2008.
Norm served as SNEC Treasurer from 2004 - 2008 when he became Vice President and COO until 2010 when Norm became President and CEO. Norm has served as President and Treasurer for several sports leagues and charity groups in Connecticut.

Carin Salonia, PMP
Vice President and COO
Carin Salonia has been a PMI member and PMP since 2003 and on the SNEC Board of Directors since 2009. She has been actively involved as Chairperson in the SNEC Conference Committee (2008), Elections (2010) and the Membership Portfolio over the past three years. Carin is responsible for supporting Board Directors for Membership, Education, Professional Development, Marketing and External Relations Portfolios. She facilitated and implemented a “voice of the member” continuous improvement program for SNEC in 2011 that focused on membership survey input, facilitated dialogue and brainstorming continuous improvement opportunities across the chapter’s operations and service offering.
Carin has several years of increasing leadership responsibility for program and project management across healthcare, IT and business. She is an Assistant Vice President at The Hartford in the Internal Audit Department and works closely with Enterprise Risk Management. She holds an M.S. in Organizational Behavior, George Washington Project Management Certification and a Six Sigma Greenbelt. She enjoys mentoring other project management professionals, time with her family, mountain biking, Junior Achievement programs for The Hartford, United Way and a local Library expansion project.

Sarah Schneiderman, PMP
Corporate Secretary
Sarah Schneiderman brings years of experience with various organizational boards and an enthusiasm for learning more about SNEC. In addition to serving as Corporate Secretary of the Board of Directors, Sarah has made many contributions to SNEC website content and email communications and facilitating the Hartford Eastside Project Management Roundtable. Sarah has also volunteered on the Special Events and Membership Committees.
Sarah has over 7 years of PM experience with an IT emphasis, with companies including Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Nationwide Insurance, Nike and currently as Senior Project Manager with American Eagle Federal Credit Union.
Sarah is dedicated to improving her PM skills and utilizing PM knowledge at work and in her personal life. She holds a PMP and a B.A. from the Corcoran School of Art in Washington, D.C. and an MA in sculpture from California Institute of the Arts.

Fred Johnson, PMP
Chief Financial Officer
Fred has over 17 years of successful engineering management experience for aerospace technology initiatives as a Project Manager with United Technologies Corporation. Fred has worked as a Project Manager at Sikorsky Aircraft, Pratt and Whitney, and he currently works as a Program Manager at International Aero Engines.
Fred has expertise in team building, project planning, problem resolution, earned value management, and strategic technology solutions. Fred has served as Director of Operations, and the Corporate Secretary of SNEC-PMI. Fred has also served as a volunteer for SNEC-PMI, including contributions to the annual SNEC PM Conference, the SNEC Elections, and as Project Manager for the SNEC-PMI Restructuring Committee that has allowed the SNEC chapter to optimize its leadership structure.

Darwyn Azzinaro, PMP
Past President
Darwyn Azzinaro has been a PMI member since 1997, a PMP since 1999, on the SNEC Board of Directors since 2002 (Treasurer, Director of Education, Director of Communications and President) and achieved an OPM3 Assessor and Consultant certification in 2003. He is currently a principle consultant and partner at PM Evolution.
Darwyn established and chaired the SNEC Strategic Planning Committee which introduced the organization to strategic and operational planning and budgeting. He created and chaired the SNEC Communication Committee and the Project Management Conference Committee which delivered SNEC’s first conference. Additionally, he was part of PMI’s Portfolio & Program Management, and OPM3 Second Edition standard development teams.

Kevin Riley has professional expertise in IT Management, and is adept in improving business results by applying information technology, program or project management, sales management, process improvement, consulting, and leadership skills. Kevin’s 20 years of business experience across multiple industries includes Project Management, Sales and Marketing, Manufacturing, Financial Services, and State Government.

Svetlana Veprinsky
Svetlana is a senior level technical manager with over 15 years of broad-based and progressive leadership experience. Her demonstrated areas of expertise include business process engineering and redesign, exceptional success rate in delivery of small to large IT projects, and efficient implementation and management of compliance programs and quality processes including FDA, PDMA, SOX and ISO 9000. Strong technical and business acumen has proven her versatility in the variety of industries and business models including commercial facilities maintenance management, pharmaceutical supply chain, engineering services, insurance, customer service and healthcare. She currently holds the position of Applications Release Manager, Clinical IT - Planning, Quality and Strategy at CIGNA and am responsible for a wide variety of multiplatform implementations utilizing both traditional (waterfall) and agile methodologies.
Svetlana has a BS in Mechanical Engineering, from Rostov University of Transport Communications, Rostov-on-Don , Russia . She has volunteered with SNEC as the VP of Public Relations and was most recently elected to the BOD. Svetlana has a passion for education, efficiency, quality outcomes and advocating the value of project management.

Lynn Van Sweden, PMP
Lynn Van Sweden has over 17 years of successful project and program management experience for business and technology initiatives, including defining and implementing best practices. She is currently involved in project management at United Illuminating. Her prior experience includes project and program management at GE, Diageo, Coca-Cola, Northrop Grumman, and Millennium Chemicals as well as for non-profit organizations in a volunteer capacity.
She has been a member of SNEC-PMI for 4 years and has served as a SNEC-PMI Board member in the Marketing portfolio for two years, and the Professional Development portfolio last year. In this role she has facilitated speed-networking sessions, re-designed our sponsorship approach, supported enhanced Career Day events as a response to member needs, enhanced our branding presence and supported our Outreach efforts. Lynn was also involved with SNEC-PMI’s effort to reorganize the board structure and update the By-Laws. Recently Lynn as presented at PMI Leadership conferences on Sponsorship and has worked with several other chapter's to develop their sponsorship program and approach.

Susan Parente, PMP,
PMI-RMP
Susan
Parente has been a PMI Member and a PMP for 5 years. She comes from the
DC Chapter of PMI and was part of the Risk Management SIG of PMI
National. She is a project engineer, consultant, speaker, author, and
mentor who leads large complex IT software implementation projects, and
the establishment of Enterprise PMOs. She has 13+ years experience
leading software and business development projects. She is currently the
owner of a S3 Technologies, LLC, and an adjunct professor at Post
University, CT.
In
her board role, Susan enjoys supporting the leadership development of
members and non-members who participate in regional PMI programs. Her
passion is for engaging volunteerism and mentoring project managers to
grow their skills and abilities.
Volunteering
has always been a major aspect of Susan’s project management with the
community. At the University of Rochester she was on the team which
re-established a chapter of Alpha Phi Omega, a national service
fraternity, which she continues to support. Susan has volunteered for
the Girl Scouts and is a current volunteer for the Boy Scouts of
America. Susan also volunteers the resources of her company, S3
Technologies, LLC, to assist a variety of charitable organizations in
project management, risk management, software development, and IT
services.

Anthony Falsetta, PMP
Anthony has over 10 years of PM experience in the IT department for United Rentals, where he has managed software implementations, upgrades, customizations and enhancements. Anthony is currently serving as IT project manager on a systems implementation project. Anthony has an M.B.A., with a concentration in Finance.
Anthony has been a member of SNEC since 2008 and has served as the VP of Continuing Education where he led the team responsible for providing educational and training offerings such as the SNEC PMP Exam prep course. In 2010, Anthony joined the leadership team and continued to support the Continuing Education committee in their educational offerings. As the board sponsor for Membership, Anthony supports SNEC in the areas of membership, volunteers, leadership development and succession planning.

Michael Okrent, PMP
Michael Okrent is a PMP with expertise in Supply Chain management, Quality Assurance, ERP systems and Energy Efficiency. He has been with the chapter for ten years and led the team responsible for creating the Seminar at Sea program. He became a Board member because of his passion for spreading the word about the benefits of SNEC Membership and for the opportunity to work with people with a real mission to improve the organization and to improve the member experience. Mike also values the opportunity to obtain Leadership Training.
He is looking forward to building on the expanding membership numbers and SNEC’s increased rate of renewal, and helping the chapter to make an impact on the region’s communities. For the past three years, Michael has worked for Yale University’s Information Technology Services (ITS) managing projects to develop and implement new software solutions.
